sooooo my birthday is coming up at the end of this month and i found a trans prosthetic recently that is absolutely PERFECT for me. like....g-d i can't tell you how badly i want this thing....but it is. expensive 😔 (of course). and i've JUST managed to find a new job, but about a whole month later than i expected/budgeted for, and my student loan payments just resumed, and i just found out my wife might get laid off at the end of the year due to lack of funding for her team's research project so....things are stressfully tight and uncertain at the moment. but if you wanna make a transmasc dyke an unbelievably joyful birthday boy then consider throwing in some cash for me to get this gorgeous and affirming thang. all i want for my bday is gender euphoria after all

Today marks the 85th anniversary of the kristallnacht.
We have spent decades saying 'never again', hoping for 'never again', and yet as we mark this day, history is repeating itself.
The broken glass from the windows of vandalised shops litters the streets. Crudely drawn stars of David and swastikas adorn the doors of synagogues and homes in once quiet and peaceful neighborhoods. Children are going to school without their blazers and kippahs. Families are removing menorahs from their windows on shabbat.
Today, there are communities afraid to mourn, lest they be harassed or attacked or mocked for simply expressing grief.
This is not okay. We are not okay.
85 years and not much has changed. It's truly heartbreaking.
haha tumblr is shutting down i wonder what left twitters up to these days. oh jesus christ
Jewish culture is knowing you deserve to live regardless of what other people say.
yes. and not only do you deserve to live, you deserve to live a long and happy life.

so this is the current situation going into nov.
my car insurance went up for no apparent reason, i owe ~$70 more than last month, no late payments or partials i forgot about to explain the difference. it’s not due until my birthday 🙃 (nov. 13th) but i want to try to get that taken care of before then because i also have my registration to renew in november, as well. none of these are unexpected but they’re more than difficult to take care of because of the hours situation at work and everything else needing attention.
i’m leaving the pinned post up for now, i snagged the tl:dr from it so y’all don’t have to read through all that again + the tags 🩵

i'm not even a zionist but the way some of y'all view israel is actually so unhinged. i'm not even talking about the current war. i mean all the ways y'all will let the incredibly vile and violent actions of the countries you live in slide while focus your incandescent white hot rage on israel as an avatar for all the colonial sins you're complicit in.
you feel guilty because you live on native land and you can't undo the genocides that made that land available to you so you want the residents of kibbutz be'eri to die as punishment for the nakba, but it's not really for the nakba, it's really because they're the sacrificial lamb for the blood-soaked land you live on and can't bear to think about.
but of course, when the west is soaked in a religion whose basis is "a jew dying for your sins," what can i expect.
Girls will be like Idk why im so unproductive recently and then you ask whats going on in their life and they list eight lifestopping crisies and then say 'yeah but i should be fine :/ '
